The cottage is located close to the village of Geevagh, about 15 miles south east of Sligo town. It is just off the road R284 connecting Sligo and Ballyfarnan. Geevagh is usually only found on the more detailed maps of Ireland. Geevagh is about 3 miles north west of the village of Ballyfarnan and 13 miles north of Boyle town, close to the Sligo/ Roscommon border.
